Working from home is a major thing now. Since this Covid situation has started, most people prefer to stay at home to avoid exposure from the virus. Even myself as a professional makeup artist, I had to stop accepting makeup gigs and I’m not so sure when to resume. Maybe when there is an available vaccine, which might take years. Yes, years.
And because of that, I have decided to dive into the freelancing world. Luckily, after months of applying, I finally landed a job. Yay. I tell you, it is not easy. There are times that I almost gave up. That I am having doubts about my skills because I don’t get the job. I am always the second choice. So yeah, it takes guts and dedication.
For the past 3 months, I work in front of my computer, every single day. Even weekends, actually. I’m not complaining though. I actually love being so busy with my job and my family. However, I noticed that I get lazy again spending time for myself – to look and feel good. I actually miss playing with makeup. I know this sounds embarrassing but I work without taking a bath lols. And it has been 6 months since I used my makeup. But for some, dressing up and putting on makeup helps provide structure and separates their professional and personal lives. I admire those who spend some time to “get ready for work” to give them a sense of normalcy.
So let me share some WFH routines (that I will practice, I promise haha) to give that confidence to take new tasks:
Put some color on the lips
The simple act of putting on some lipstick can sometimes make one feel more confident and productive. Take your pick from Bobbie Cosmetics Matte About Hue lipstick (P165), which is available in 24 timeless matte shades to suit every mood.
Those who are looking for a thinner, lighter consistency can opt for Bobbie Cosmetics Pretty in Tint (P145). This highly-pigmented lip stain infused with hydrating shea butter that can leave one’s lips feeling plump and moisturised.
It may seem kind of appropriate to take out your makeup bag when you’re only working from home. But experts say keeping up one’s beauty routine can be a form of self-care. This is also a great opportunity to experiment with new looks and fun colors you’ve always wanted to try.
Start your face with Bobbie Cosmetics Poof! Concealer (P115). It is enriched with antioxidants, this compact kit helps brighten the skin while covering your skin’s imperfections. Turn your face into a flawless canvas with Bobbie Cosmetics Don’t Go With The Flaw Corrector + Concealer (P299), which is available in six shades so you can find your perfect match.
Have a full day of Zoom meetings ahead? Look good in video calls with Bobbie Cosmetics Squad Contour and Strobe Palette (P399). This collection of versatile shades can define one’s features and get you camera-ready.
Finally, blind their eyesight lols with the Bobbie Cosmetics Glow Obsession Liquid Illuminator (P299). This liquid shimmer gives skin a subtle sheen that creates a fresh and youthful look.
