If you follow this blog for quite some time, you must have seen my posts on Kuya Cloud’s 1st Birthday Celebration in 2016. From finding the perfect venue in Ortigas, making circus-themed party invitations, our MTV Style video by For Keeps Photo and some DIY ideas for your circus-themed party. I hope these posts have helped you in any way in planning your own carnival-themed party.
Fast forward to 2019, Cal came into our lives. And just last month, we celebrated his first birthday at Mad Cafe. Initially, we have no plans to come up with a theme (since we are more practical this time lols). It’s just that when my sister-in-law was looking for a party favor, she saw these cute wooden stools in R2D2 and BB8 design. That’s when we decided to go for a Star Wars themed party. And because it sounds cool too! 😀
Prior to this, Hubby and I were contemplating on where to celebrate Cal’s birthday either in Play Hub or in Mad Cafe. I made a vlog when we visited these two venues, so feel free to check it out here. And based on the title, you already know where. 🙂

If you live in Quezon City, you must have heard about Mad Cafe. It is located at #19 Congressional Ave, Project 8, Quezon City. When you enter the place, it feels like you are one of the characters in Alice in Wonderland! The place is so Instagram-worthy. What makes them different from other restaurants is that they don’t just offer Filipino comfort food, but they also provide fun board games for everyone. But what I love the most is the kid’s play corner with a ball pit, wall climbing, and a slide that Kuya Cloud loves so much!
On the other hand, the place can only accommodate up to 80 persons for big events. We actually had around 100 guests so on the event day, we rearranged the place to get some extra space for additional tables and chairs. Thanks to the staff for being so helpful and it worked out perfectly. For the menu, we chose our favorites such as Kiddie Meal (Spaghetti and Mad Fried Chicken), Pork Binagoongan, Tokwa at Baboy and Calamares for the main course, Nachos and Onion Rings for appetizers and Wintermelon milk tea for drinks. Everyone was happy with the food. But here is something you should know if you want to hold an event there, the parking slots are limited to 8 to 10 only. But they are working on that.
