Cloud as being an active 4-year old boy, he always prefers physical activities such as playing basketball, scooter or just running around. Sometimes I force him just to sit beside me to read lols. He actually enjoys books like Tiktaktok at Pikpakbum and Say Ahh!! Doctor Pig since he loves animals too.

As a mom, I wanted Cloud to develop the love of books at an early age.

Reading helps a child expands his/her imagination, vocabulary, and learn new information. Furthermore, a child who developed the love to read doesn’t see it as a chore or a difficult task to avoid. Moreover, reading with kids is an easy way to connect with them and teach them words and improve language skills. Using books with pictures and age-appropriate words can catch a young child’s attention, and adding sound effects can make reading time even more enjoyable.

It has been a week since Cloud completed the Reading Safari Summer Workshop at The Learning Library (Loyola Branch). So far, I’m very pleased to see that he started to have the interest to read. Siya na mismo ang nag aaya sa National Bookstore to check out some books.

Aside from reading, they also had arts and crafts time, sing and dance, and video viewing that Cloud enjoyed a lot. Different community helpers were tackled as well and what the kids would want when they grow up.

Look, Cloud wants to be a doctor someday! 🙂

Of course, the workshop won’t be completed without fun games!
