Our Seda Nuvali Christmas Staycation 2018

For some people who don’t know, I’m originally from Sta. Rosa, Laguna. Ang layo no? Imagine, I’m currently residing in Quezon City. From South to North ang peg haha. So once in a while, we visit the best place ever (as what my hubby calls haha)  to pay respect to my parents and to see my older brother and his family. Umuuwi kami kapag important occasions like Christmas holiday and kapag may birthday.

And since we wanted something new from our usual activities (malling, etc), last Christmas holiday, we decided to book a stay in Seda Nuvali (via agoda.com).

Also, one of our goals is to relax after our busy work schedule.

We booked 2 deluxe rooms (with buffet breakfast for two) for an overnight stay (December 23). The total is around Php9,800.00 which I find reasonable. We were excited to explore Nuvali as I heard there are new fun activities to try. But unfortunately, it was raining non-stop when we arrived.

We were greeted by the hotel staff with warm smiles as we enter the reception area. Check-in was a breeze even if there were lots of people at the lobby checking in and out. I just showed my confirmation e-mail from Agoda and not more than 5 minutes, they handed me the key cards. By the way, they will also ask for a security deposit, in my case I paid Php4,000.00 for the two rooms.

Seda Nuvali Deluxe Room

The room has a modern minimalist vibe which I like.

The king-sized bed smells clean and inviting. It was so comfy too! I was relieved that there were no fragile items around because I have a toddler to manage lols. Overall, the room is spacious and Cloud loves to run back and forth. Yun nga lang, I forgot to request for a room with a nice view. The one we got was right in front of the construction area and they were still people working there. Kaya laging nakaclose yung window namin.

Deluxe Room [Bathroom]
The bathroom is spacious and well-lit as well. There is also a life-size mirror attached to the bathroom door where you can snap your OOTD (outfit of the day).

And because it was raining, we opted to stay inside and enjoy the cozy atmosphere.

We ordered our lunch from Misto, Seda Nuvali’s in-house restaurant serving international dishes and local favorites. However, the food came after an hour of waiting that’s because of the volume of orders they were receiving. Okay, holiday rush nga pala. Even the pitcher of water came sooooo late, we were done nung dumating siya. Buti nalang di kami nabilaukan hehehe. We have ordered Clubhouse sandwich, Tempura, Tinolang Manok, and 3 rice for the total of P1,800. Forgot to take food photos because we’re starving! The food was okay, nothing special. For dinner, we had Mcdo Delivery, bawi nalang sa buffet breakfast.

The next morning, we spent an hour at the gaming area while waiting for our number to be called at the buffet breakfast.

Ganun karami ang tao and knowing it’s buffet pa, talagang matagal ang waiting time. Anyway, we enjoyed, especially the two little boys; Kuya Jed and Kuya Cloud playing Xbox. They both love playing Injustice: Batman and Superman.

Buffet Breakfast at Misto

So it’s time to dig in!

They offer a lot of variety but I noticed there are no Filipino faves served like tuyo, tocino and longganisa that time. Being pregnant and currently on diet (because I don’t want to give birth to a 9-pounder again hehe), I went for bread, cereals and fresh fruits. And besides, walang talaga akong nagustuhan.

On the contrary, looks like Hubby, my Kuya, and his family enjoyed the buffet. Si Cloud, masaya na sa cereals.

Seda Nuvali – Pool Area

Since Mr. Sun had shown up (Thank God!), we let Cloud go for a swim. It was also nice seeing him mingle with the big boys. Big boy ka na talaga Anak!

Apart from the gaming area and pool, Seda Nuvali also has a play area (for the little kids), club lounge, fitness center, and function halls.

Overall, we had a nice and memorable stay at Seda Nuvali. Even if we weren’t able to go out (because of the weather), we have enjoyed what it has to offer. And we will certainly come back! This time, with two boys na.
