Online shopping became part of my life since I couldn’t remember. Instagram days pa ata. I’m such a huge fan of it. From clothing, baby stuff, house decorations and many more. And just this week, I purchased two setting sprays and a MAC Lipstick for my professional makeup kit. It is so easy and convenient to shop online but always remember to deal with a legit seller or online shop to avoid inconvenience in the future.
What I haven’t tried is the online grocery shopping. Shempre, pagkain yun and as a mom, I have to make sure they are safe for my family. In addition, I always check for expiration dates (turo ni hubby) as a safety measure na din. I’m afraid suppliers will send almost expired goods tapos kakainin namin diba? Besides, the nearest supermarket is just a 15-minute drive from our house.
The first time I heard about Honestbee Philippines (a concierge and delivery service), I was a bit skeptical. As I have mentioned, online grocery shopping is more complicated than buying clothes and beauty products. So when Honestbee officially introduced last year, I waited some time until positive feedback from other moms came out. And just last week, I finally decided to give it a try.
(1) Easy to Sign Up and a Welcome Treat
To start, download Honestbee app (available in AppStore and Google Store) or by just visiting their website. Next is to sign up. Once you are signed up, you will have your own referral link wherein you’ll get P500 OFF for P1000 for every friend who shops. While your friend will get P500 OFF for P2500 worth of purchase. So please use my referral link, malaking tulong po iyon! 🙂
Next is to indicate your exact address where your purchase will be delivered. You can choose whether to send it to your home address or to your office.
Now, it is time to shop!
(2) Promotions / Discounted Items
In my case, I ordered from Robinsons Supermarket for Cloud’s school snacks. I didn’t order the meat stuff yet since I’m still hesitant (sorry na!). Anyway, I actually enjoy browsing kasi some of the items were discounted. Shempre tayong mga mommies, doble ang saya pag discounted ang mga pinamimili natin. Lalo na ngayon na walang tigil ang pagtaas ng mga bilihin.
Once you are done shopping, don’t forget to use your voucher when you check out. For the payment method, you can choose whether cash on delivery (COD) or pay via credit card.
Sometimes your shopper would contact you kapag out of stock yung order mo. What I like is nagsusuggest sila ng alternative from a different brand within the same price range nung order mo. However, if you prefer to cancel the item, they will deduct it from your total bill.
(3) You can set your Delivery Schedule
Well, ito yung pinakagusto ko, Honestbee lets you set your own date and time of delivery. I set mine on a Sunday from 12 noon to 1 pm. And they came around 12:30 pm. Wow, walang delay!
Bonus yung reusable bags nila kasi ang cute! I also checked the items for their expiration date and lahat naman sila ay okay. *two thumbs up* May iba kasing supermarket, kahit less than a month nalang yung expiration nasa rack pa din nila. Kawawa yung consumers na hindi nagchecheck ng expiration date. 🙁
So far, I’m very satisfied with my first Honestbee experience. For sure may next time to!
