EB Advance Contour Shade and Light Palette [Swatches + Review]

Here is an in-depth review of EB Advance Contour Shade and Light Palette.

After weeks and months of morning sickness (17 weeks preggy here), my body started to feel normal again. Thank God! Well, except for my increased appetite. Lols.

Anyway, if you’ve read my previous makeup review about Focallure 18-Eyeshadow Palette and it made you WOW like I did. Mapapa-wow ka din sa bagong Ever Bilena Advance Contour Shade and Light Palette, P395.

EB Advance Contour Shade and Light Palette

It comes in a sturdy tin packaging with a good-sized mirror. The size is similar to the EB Uncover Eyeshadow Palette.

This palette contains 3 neutral contouring shades and 3 highlighting shades in all matte formula to give a more realistic definition. This is really nice because as a professional makeup artist, I don’t use shimmer formulas on the cheeks of my client (even to myself) since it actually accentuates pores and it doesn’t look natural. Especially when it hits the light, kitang kita talaga yung pores lalo na kung nakashimmer.

EB Advance Contour Shade and Light Palette – Swatches

Highlighting shades can be used on your cheekbones, brow bone, bridge of the nose and the center of the forehead.

I’m not a fan of banana shade (most left) since I find it too yellowish. Instead, I will use it to set when priming the eyelids or maybe as an eyeshadow, so it won’t go to waste. The other 2 highlighting shades look pretty good for Filipina complexion.

On the other hand, I like how they came up with neutral contouring shades since they are well-suited to Filipina skin as well. You can use them separately or mix them together. Apply it under the cheekbones, the jawline, the temples and the side of the nose. Just don’t forget to blend seamlessly for a natural look. Apart from contouring, they can also be used as an eyeshadow for a soft smokey eye look. Just like what I did on the video below.

Formula-wise, they are powdery but pigmented and blendable. Most importantly, I love that it looks natural on my face. I also enjoyed using it as an eyeshadow since they are blendable even without an eye primer. Lasting power is pretty impressive too. It lasts for about 3-5 hours and it looks more natural as it fades. Perfect for everyday talaga!

Essentials Paddle Brush, P256 (price varies depending on the size)

It is a medium paddle brush ideal for foundation, concealer, powder, bronzer and blush application. I used it for contour in the video and it feels so soft on the skin. Also, it doesn’t irritate my sensitive skin which is a good thing.

If you are one of those kilay is life but contouring is LIFER, you should definitely check EB Advance Contour Shade and Light Palette!
