I always get kilig every time I receive a package, particularly when there’s a lot of new makeup to play with. As a professional makeup artist, learning new techniques and trying different products are endless. I’m not complaining though, because I’m a certified makeup junkie!
For today, we will be reviewing some products from Colour Collection which by the way, Megan Young (our Miss World 2013) is the new brand ambassador.
Colour Collection Vitamin E Pressed Powder in Natural (P375)
This pressed powder claims to have 5 skin benefits as follows: (1) controls oil and shine (2) smoothen skin with Vitamin E (3) provides naturally flawless coverage (4) makes foundation last longer and (5) it has SPF15 that helps protect the skin from the sun’s damaging UV rays. It is good to use for setting foundation or BB Cream and perfect for on-the-go touch-ups.
The packaging is sturdy and doesn’t look cheap. I like that it’s unscented since I have a sensitive nose. It comes with a sponge applicator and a good-sized mirror. It’s true to its claim that it provides a naturally flawless coverage, more like a sheer finish. So if you are looking for an extra coverage, this pressed powder may not work for you. Nevertheless, this is great for touch-ups.
Colour Collection All Day Brow Mascara in Dark Brown (P399)
This brow mascara has a mini brush for easy application to coat each hair strands evenly. I must say, this is my most favorite. It has a great pigmentation and lasts all day. I’ve been wearing this for a week now and I’m loving it!
Colour Collection All Day Wear Lengthening Mascara Waterproof in Black (P399)
It has a curved wand that easily coats each lash evenly. I have naturally long lashes so I’m not so sure to its lengthening effect. But I love how bold it makes my lashes after two coats of application and the fact that it is waterproof.
TIP: Wipe the EXTRA product off the mascara wand gently using a tissue paper, NOT against the opening of the mascara tube. That’s the secret to clump-free eyelashes!
Colour Collection High Definition Iconic Matte Lipsticks (P399)
Their new product last May was the Colour Collection High Definition Iconic Matte Lipsticks. These lipsticks are specially formulated to give moisture-rich, vibrant, and high definition lips. It has a smooth lip color that glides right on with a silky matte finish that never feels dry.
They are highly pigmented, run smoothly on lips, and I love the silky matte finish which is perfect for people with dry lips. My favorite shades are Vintage Glam and IT Girl.
Colour Collection BB Cream Whitening (P599)
It has 8 whitening skin benefits such as brightens the skin, protect skin from UV damage, help heals acne blemishes, hydrates dry skin, nice coverage, reduces pigmentation, improves skin elasticity and helps block pollutants.
I got the shade Natural which is too yellow for my skin but was able to correct it using Colour Collection Vitamin E Pressed Powder. It doesn’t give too much coverage but it is buildable. I like that it doesn’t feel heavy on the skin. If you have extremely oily skin, like me, don’t forget to finish with a powder to improve wear time.
Colour Collection Collagen Lipstick (P350) (See swatches above)
These are infused with collagen that promotes elasticity and suppleness for fuller and youthful looking lips. They have a great color payoff, very hydrating and feels light on the lips. On the other hand, given its creamy texture, it is not transferproof and could easily wear off after drinking or eating. Hence, retouching is a must. I got the shades Sweet Cocoa and Indulgence that I see myself would wear on a daily basis.

Have you tried any Colour Collection makeup? 🙂
