School break is here!

Have you got any plans on how to keep your kids busy at home? If you already tried these fun activities you can do with the family that I mentioned in my previous post, don’t you worry! I’ve got your back for some new cool school break ideas to try.

Gardening

School break is the best time for our kids to get dirty. Find a good spot with as much sun as possible in your backyard as their garden. Prepare for bedding plants and from there, let your kids learn all about planting and how to take care of them. Choose only a few varieties of plants to start. Gardening is a great task for your kids to compare the wonderful variety of colors, shapes, sizes, and textures.

Hiking

Bring your kids to adventure such as hiking to conquer heights and learn about nature. It is a great opportunity to play and enjoy simple things what Mother Nature has to offer. Introducing your kids to outdoors could also help them to be physically fit and spend time away with electronic gadgets.

As we live in a digital era, it is nice to look for outdoor activities that reduce stress and promotes relaxation.

Painting

Let your kids freely express themselves and be creative through their painting. It does not just help their creative development but stimulates their brain as well that could also help other areas of their development. Painting is also a great way for them to express what they think and feel. You would know whether he is feeling happy or down, depending on the color he uses.  Painting is also a practical activity which motivates learning and boosts self-esteem.

Gymnastics

Physical activities play a vital role in our kids’ development.

Gymnastics, for instance, develops their cognitive skills, core strength, endurance, body flexibility and many more. They can attend a class or put up your own gymnast area in your backyard. You can search online for an air track factory that produces high-quality inflatable products. Look for mats that are made of non-toxic materials with an extremely strong elasticity. This helps to bring a bit of light and fun to the boring and hard practice for your children.

Attending music class

Music has many benefits for children. By understanding beat, rhythm, and scales, kids are learning how to divide, create fractions, and recognize patterns which are some of Math principles. Playing instruments such as drums help children develop eye-hand coordination and fine motor skills as they require movement of the hands, arms, and feet. Music also elevates social skills and discipline and boosts self-esteem.
