Namnam noodle bar was founded by director and owner Chef Nam through his love for cooking and exceptional culinary skills. Born in Vietnam, Nam fled to Denmark with his family in 1979 when Vietnam fell to the communists.
Instilled with Vietnamese pride, Nam embarked on a culinary expedition around the world. He has worked in various award-winning restaurants and hotels such as the one Michelin Star Le Canard Oslo and the prestigious Sukhothai Bangkok, where he has become the executive chef.
Despite his achievements, Nam returned to his roots and opened Namnam Noodle Bar. The casual quick-service noodle bar took 5 years of careful planning before its debut in Raffles City Shopping Centre, Singapore, on October 15, 2012.
Following its successful debut in the Philippines in Eastwood City in July 2016, Annam Noodle Bar is set to transport diners to the vibrant streets of Saigon in its latest location at Resorts World Manila in Pasay City, with a revamped menu bringing new rice dishes to Filipinos.
The new rice dishes are influenced from one of Vietnam’s most unique street food – broken rice. Annam’s contemporary rice dishes uses a long-grain variety, embodying both Vietnamese and Filipino flavors and ingredients as they feature various meat and seafood toppings in each dish.
Famed for its bánh mì, French-inspired Viet stuffed baguettes; Annam has created three new exciting flavors – Twice Cooked Australian Beef Brisket; Crispy Fried Turmeric Chicken; and Smoked Salmon with Tofu and Cream Cheese – all topped with traditional Vietnamese pickles, chicken pate, and fresh herbs. Annam’s bánh mì is perfect for breakfast, especially when paired with the signature Vietnamese coffee made from premium robusta coffee beans.
Accompany the meal with a new selection of thirst-quenching beverages made with vibrant tropical fruits including the Mango-pineapple sparkling, Passion-soursop sparkling and Limelychee sparkling. Those looking for a caffeine boost will enjoy these refreshing new creations – Salted caramel-banana iced coffee and Pandan-red bean iced milk tea.
Apart from the new breakfast set and Value Lunch set, Annam has also introduced buddy dinner set meals available from 6-9pm on weekdays. Indulge in a choice of two appetizers, choice of two pho noodles, and two drinks in the Pho-nomenal Buddy Meal (P 999); or enjoy two appetizers and drinks with an option of a pho noodle and banh mi in the Pho-filling Banh-dle Meal (P 899)!
Known as NamNam Noodle Bar in Singapore, the concept first launched in October 2012 and now has four outlets in the island-state, and four other locations in Jakarta, Indonesia.
