Affordable Glam Makeup Look [Swatches + Mini Review]

Sep 1, 2016 | Beauty & Fashion | 18 comments

Hello there gorgeous! I’m excited to share this Full Glam Makeup Look using affordable makeup products. Products used are mostly from Daiso, Watsons, Landmark / SM Department Stores and Divisoria! Are you ready to find out? So let’s get started!

Quick FX No-Shine Mattifier, 50php.

The cheapest primer I’ve had so far but does the job really well. This is what I normally suggest to my friends who want to try a primer for the first time. A little product goes a long way creating a smooth canvas before makeup application. It keeps the oil at bay for 4 hours and didn’t cause any breakout.

iWhite Korea BB.Holic Everyday BB Cream, 24.50php.

It has a natural looking coverage and you can get the benefit of both skincare and makeup. I am not new to BB (Blemish Balm) creams, as a matter of fact, I hoarded BB creams (Missha, Skin79, Innisfree) when it was introduced way back in 2011. Unfortunately, they didn’t work well on my oily skin and ended up giving them to my friends. Fast forward today, I gave BB cream a second chance and I am loving it because of the coverage it gives without looking shiny for a few hours. It has a dewy finish so I topped it off with a loose powder to set. Given my oily skin, blotting paper like this became so handy.

WetnWild Coverall Liquid Concealer Wand, 169.50php.

I used this for my undereye, highlight points and as an eyelid primer. Know more about this concealer here and here

Essence All About Matt! Fixing Compact Powder, 269php.

You can check my full review here.

IN2IT Waterproof Eyebrow Colour, below 300php.

My holy grail drugstore eyebrow powder. Like the Quick FX primer, this is my most-recommended eyebrow powder for beginners. You can read my full review here.

DAISO Eyebrow Gel in Brown, 88php.

It has a 3/4 size of a normal mascara wand, too liquidy and has a strong chemical scent to it. I just applied a little amount since the shade is too light for me. Gladly, the scent goes away after a few minutes. Performance-wise, it works fine. I just don’t like the smell.

DAISO Pearl in Eyeshadow, 88php.

My least favorite from my Daiso Makeup Haul. Lack of pigmentation, chalky and difficult to blend. Nevertheless, the shades are perfect for a night makeup look.

Maybelline Hypercurl Mascara, 249php.

One of my favorite drugstore mascara. It has a very black formula, waterproof and long-lasting. It lengthens and volumizes my lashes after a few coats. Highly-recommended!

DAISO Focus Gel Eyeliner in Lame Black, 88php.

The packaging is so cute! However, I expected a super black pigment but it turned out to be gray packed with shimmers which I don’t like.

Etude House Styling Eyeliner, 130php.

It has a creamy texture and very pigmented, perfect for your lower lashline.

DAISO False Eyelashes, 88php.

I love it and I highly recommend it.

Nichido Eyelash Adhesive, 60php.

My holy grail eyelash glue!

DAISO Princess Duo Color Cheek, 88php.

The shades look intimidating but I love how natural it looks when applied. A little product goes a long way so make sure to use a light hand when dipping your brush. Don’t forget to tap your brush to remove excess product since it is a bit chalky. I recommend using a stippling brush for a natural flush of color. You can use the lighter shade as a highlighter.

DAISO Ellefar Hanataka Powder, 88php.

This one really amazed me because it is highly pigmented and easy to work with. It looks gorgeous in person! Trust me!

Menow Kissproof Soft Lipsticks in 009 and 015, 60php.

Wet 'n Wild is reasonably priced but I never tried it because I thought it wouldn't be any good. Thanks for recommending it.

I am hesitant to try Daiso make-up because I have sensitive skin. It turned out great though! These are all so affordable!
