Tarte Rainforest of the Sea Eyeshadow Palette [Swatches + Review]

Hello lovelies! For today’s beauty post is about another favorite of mine.

Tarte is one of the high-end brands I have been meaning to try because of good reviews online. So when a fellow MUA offered her (good as new) Tarte Rainforest of the Sea Eyeshadow Palette, I grabbed the chance for my first ever Tarte eyeshadow palette. Tarte is offering cruelty-free cosmetics infused with skinvigorating ingredients like superfruit and plant extracts, vitamins, essential oils, and other naturally-derived ingredients. They are also formulated without parabens, mineral oils, phthalates, sodium lauryl sulfate, triclosan, gluten, and other harmful chemicals.

The Rainforest of the Sea Eyeshadow Palette ($36) is a limited edition palette.

Formulated to hydrate and balance lids with a creamy powder that is never drying nor chalky. It consists of 8 neutral eyeshadows to define and contour the eyes perfect for everyday makeup look.

For me, it has the most beautiful packaging from my entire collection. It has this gold and aquatic-inspired design where I can stare all day long. The palette also comes with a step-by-step guide taking your look from beachy bronze to a sea-inspired evening eyes.

This round, mirrored compact contains 8 eyeshadows (0.05 oz each) which describe as creamy, blendable and has good color pay off. Moreover, this palette is vegan and dermatology-tested.

Such a gorgeous palette!

Seashell is a light pinky peach with a frosted finish that can be used for highlighting the browbone and inner corners of the eyes. Mermaid is light gold with a warm undertone. Sand is a yellow beige and has a satin finish. Cove is a light brown with a cool undertone and perfect as your transition color. Starfish is a golden brown with a frosted sheen. Reef is a medium bronze color with a warm undertone and has gold shimmers in it. Abyss is a metallic dark brown which can be used to define the outer V of the eyes. And lastly, wave is a frosted taupe color with a cool undertone.

As mentioned above, each has a creamy texture and pigmented. They are also easy to blend on bare skin with or without eye primer. My favorites are Seashell, Mermaid, Cove, Starfish and Wave. You can play with this palette and could come up with different looks from simple to an intense smokey eye look. Longevity-vise, it can last for 8 hours or so without getting patchy. For me, it is an expensive eyeshadow palette but worth it.

Tarte Rainforest of the Sea Eyeshadow Palette can only be purchased online e.g. Sephora or to any beauty online stores that sell US authentic makeup products. Price ranges from 2300php to 3000php.

  1. Love the color combination of this eyeshadow pallet. I'm not familiar with the brand but the price says it all. It's great to have for special occasions.

  2. There's Sephora in the malls where I am in. I like the shades, they look neutral, it can easily go for everyday clothes. =)

  3. Grabe gaw, when we meet again, don't ever talk about make up, wala akong maiintindihan e! hahaha. Pero dapat siguro mag seminar kami nila Melisa at Berlin sayo ng Make up 101. haha.

  4. I'm a big fan of nude make up shades so I'm absolutely loving looking at this palette. Even the packaging is beautiful. $36 is actually not bad if you're getting this many colors.

  5. I love the shades. I usually stick with neutral colors when it comes to eyeshadows and these look great. Though I really find it a lot more expensive than the one I am using.

  6. THey looked highly pigmented and I love the palette. The packaging is lovely too! For a hand-me-down Tarte product, I think this is worth getting it. I can use this for my casual days in the office.

  7. I also love make-ups, and this sounds and look appealing. I'm kinda more on Loreal, Revlon and Maybelline kinda girl. This is something new to me and will look into more about the product. Thanks for great review!:)
