Lorac Pro Palette [Review + Swatches]

Β

Do you know the difference of being a beauty blogger and a make up artist?

As a beauty blogger, I scout affordable yet quality products to share with my lovely readers. On the other hand, as a makeup artist, you must invest in high-end makeup products for you to be able to provide reasonable makeup services. Okay, let’s be real, you want to impress your clients with your high-end makeup products.Β
Β
So ever since I started building my makeup kit, I always do my research first before buying them because high-end makeups mean the shedding of thousands. Yes, I kid you not! My first high-end makeup is theΒ Lorac Pro Palette that I purchased for 2300php (around 50usd)Β fromΒ @everydaydaze on Instagram.

I know it sounds costly but since it is one of the brands that other beauty junkies and makeup artists swear by, I took a leap and try it myself. Β

Β

Inside the box contains the Lorac Pro 16 eye shadow palette and a travel-sized Behind the Scenes Eye Primer in a squeeze tube. Sorry if the palette looks abused lols since I started using it before I have taken this photo. Those cute heart stickers serve as my markings in all my make up products.Β
Β
I love that the palette is lightweight and travel-friendly where you can just slide it inside your make up bag. It also has its own mirror which is a plus. My only gripe is its matte black finished that is prone to scratches and stains.Β

Β

The palette consists of 16 eyeshadows – 8 matte and 8 shimmers that can be used both for daytime and nighttime look.

As a makeup artist, this comes in handy not to bring too many eye shadow palettes with me. Β
Β

From top to bottom – White, Cream, Taupe, Lt. Pink, Mauve, Sable, Espresso, Black
Β
From the matte shades, my favorites are Taupe and Mauve for my transition colors and Espresso and Black to define and locate the outer V.Β

Β
From top to bottom – Nude, Champagne, Gold, Lt. Bronze, Pewter, Garnet, Deep Purple, Slate
Β

Nude and Champagne are perfect for highlighting the brow bones and inner corners of the eyes. WhileΒ Gold, Lt. Bronze, Pewter, and Garnet can be used in creating soft smokey eye looks. You can also use the darker shades Deep Purple and Slate in defining your outer V.

Lorac Pro Palette has a great color pay off, soft and smooth texture.

I love that it has 16 wearable shades to play with and can create so many eye make up look from daytime to night time look. Longevity-wise, Β they lasted for 6 to 8 hours without creasing and fading. They will definitely lasts longer if you used eye primer beforehand.Β

Overall, I highly recommend this palette! Totally worth the price!Β

What is your favorite eye shadow palette?
I would love to hear them in the comment section below.

  1. True, make up artist also invest on workshops! Good luck on your chosen career. Frustration ko dati ang maging make up artist so hanggang hairstylist na lang ako hehehe

  2. At age 62, my mom still loves to color her face with those make ups. Most of her relatives will always give her make ups as pasalubong. Your Lorac Pro set is something she would definitely love.

  3. To be honest, I know nothing about eye shadows. I'll keep coming back for your posts so that I'll learn something from you. — Maria Teresa Figuerres

  4. Considering that there are 16 colors plus an eye primer as well, I'd say this product is worth the price. I'd consider buying this for myself.
