In today’s post, I’m sharing you my thoughts on L’Oreal Professional Paris Vitamino Color Shampoo that I got from my BDJ Box – September Issue. You can purchase them in all leading supermarkets and department stores for Php395 at 250ml. Cost-wise, I find this a bit pricey for a 250ml shampoo. Methinks it is specially formulated for color-treated hair that’s why it has a big cost difference to other shampoos available in the market.
I had my hair color done at Bangs Salon (click here for my “From Black to Ash Blonde Experience”) few days after I received my September BDJ Box. Very timely because I have something to use on my first bath with my new hair color on. I observed that nowadays, hair color sessions at salons boosts up from Php2000 to Php4000 depends on the brand you will use. The last hair color I’ve done was year 2012 at Ystilo Salon and I paid for only Php1500. Since paying Php3000+ for a new hair color is a no joke, you need to look for good products for your new hair color to stay longer and looks like just freshly-applied.
The formulation of L’Oreal Professional Paris Vitamino Color is a bit different to a usual shampoo that you can find in the market. It has a thicker consistency but you can lather easily and produces a good amount of bubbles. The only downside I encountered is its subtle chemical scent. The smell is like a hair color and it leaves on my hair after wash even I use a conditioner afterwards. And this bothers me a lot. 🙁
On the side note, I noticed my hair looks more vibrant after using it for 3 weeks. Other than that, it leaves my hair normally soft like other hair products do.
Pros:
1. Thicker consistency
2. Makes my hair color more vibrant
Cons:
1. Pricey
2. It has a “hair color” scent to it
This indeed performs very well on my hair. I would still use it and pair with its own conditioner and hoping the chemical scent will subside somehow. I just hope their conditioner doesn’t have the same smell hehehe. If it does, I guess I have to say goodbye to an awesome color-treated products.
Have you tried this L’Oreal Professional Paris Vitamino Color Shampoo?
Did the smell bother you?

Oooh! I haven't tried this but actually, most shampoos for color treated hair are quite pricey. My stylist recommends that I get sulfate-free shampoos so that the color won't fade but they are just too pricey for me. Haha! 😛
Great post and interesting!!
Great post~! I've been thinking about dying my hair, so this was helpful <33
