Ever Bilena is one of the longest running local make up brand here in the Philippines. It was established in late 1983 and launched its first product – “Ever Bilena” Nail Polish. By 1985, EB has grown into a full cosmetic line with more than 200 beauty consultants in every department store nationwide. To know more about them, you can visit their official website at http://www.everbilena.com.ph/ or their Facebook page.
I always passes by at their counters but never bothered to check them out. “Local brand kasi e kaya baka panget.” Absurb right? Not until I heard raves on this particular matte lipstick line – the EB Matte.
As mentioned, they are available in most establishments here in the Philippines, even 7-11 carries their product! While I got mine at Shopwise. 🙂 This particular matte lipstick retails for Php165 and you can choose from 17 shades available.
Aren’t they lovelies? 🙂
The packaging is in a matte black casing with a silver accent of EB logo that adds elegance to it. However, I found it flimsy as the cover easily takes off even it is just sitting in my make up bag. Good thing that the lipstick itself is not exposed where you have to twist it up first for the product to come out. I hope EB could come up with a sturdier packaging.
Sienna is a brownish kind of red that easily brightens up my face.
Mauvey, on the other hand, is a nude brownish pink that perfect paired with a bold dark eyebrows.
Both shades can be used as your everyday make up.
It has a creamy texture that makes the application easy peasy. It is also pigmented that you do not need another coat to show off its color. In addition, it has the slightest “chemical” scent which doesn’t really bothers at all.

It has a great lasting power given its super affordable price. Same with the other matte lippies I have tried, this stays all day long if you do not eat nor drink. But if you do, it has a minimal transfer and fading which I’m very impressed about. All you need to do is to dub the lipstick on the faded part. On the side note, this makes my lips a bit drying. So I suggest to moisturize your lips first or apply a lip gloss on top of it to keep your lips from drying.
2. Easy to apply
3. Super pigmented
4. Has a great lasting power
5. Available almost everywhere
1. Makes my lips a bit drying
2. Flimsy packaging
If you are looking for an everyday matte lipstick but with a limited budget, you must try this!
