Make Up Review: Rimmel London Stay Matte Primer

Here is an in-depth review on Rimmel London Stay Matte Primer.

Skin-perfecting primer can be worn alone, under makeup or on top to create a perfectly matte complexion. Controls shine up to 8 hours. Ultra-lightweight formula minimizes the appearance of pores.
Where I bought it: makeupboxbysonja on Instagram
How much: Php 400+
Other locations: Online stores on Instagram and Facebook
I belong to those people who have oily skin that looks like a grease ball. Yes, a GREASE BALL. After putting the foundation, I tend to get oily after a few hours. Blotting helps a bit and HUGE thanks to the one who discovered it. *applaud*

I learned about primers from other beauty bloggers and I got curious if it really helps to keep the oil at bay. There are a lot of primers in the local store yet Rimmel London make up brand is something to be raved about. It offers good quality and cheaper price compare to high-end brands. Unfortunately, as far I as know Rimmel London is not available locally but you can purchase them thru online stores on Instagram and Facebook.

Product Info at the back

The packaging comes in a white matte-finish squeeze tube with a purple cap as a cover.

It has a small hole as an opening and dispenses small product at a time. No wastage.

The texture is like an unscented moisturizer but feels lightweight on the skin and can be blended easily. I love how smooth my face was after my first application, feels like a baby’s skin. However, it didn’t really cover my pores as indicated at the product information.

I put my make up at around 5:30 am and I started to get oily a few hours later. Actually, the oil was lesser at 30% upon blotting (during mid-day) compare during I didn’t use this primer. Obviously, it really does its job. Okay, I’m convinced 🙂

Pros:

1. Cute packaging and travel-friendly
2. Dispense a small amount of product
3. Suitable for all skin types
4. Smooth finish after application
5. Keep the oil at bay for a few hours
6. Not very expensive

Cons:

1. Not available in the local market
2. Not enough to cover pores

Do you like Rimmel London Stay Matte primer too? If no, suggestions are highly appreciated! Excited to try them too!

Much Love,
