Family Staycation at Crowne Plaza Manila Galleria

Last January, we celebratedΒ our son’s 2nd birthday. We initially planned to throw a kiddie party, but after several discussions, Hubby and I both agreed for a staycation at Crowne Plaza Manila. Spending on an overnight stay in a hotel has been our plan for the longest time and it has finally pushed through because of our son’s birthday. As parents, we still want his birthday celebration to be special without throwing a party for him. This time, we celebrated it just the three of us.Β
Β
It’s our second time in Crowne Plaza Manila so we were very confident that Cloud, our son would love the place as much as we did. Another thing is, there is Kidzooona, an indoor playground for kids minutes away from our hotel room.Β
Β
So we checked in at 2 pm, took a break and headed to Kidzooona for a 4-hour playtime. We went back to our room at 7 pm, ordered our dinner via room service and spent the rest of the night under the cozy ambiance of the room. Hubby and Cloud hit the sack earlier than expected.Β Meanwhile, I slept at around 2 in the morning since I enjoyed watching The Danish Girl on HBO. #mombiealert
Anyway, we got a Deluxe Room with a king-size bed. I love the spacious room and my son enjoyed running back and forth across the room. The huge mirror on the wall makes the room look even bigger. How I wish I brought my laptop since they also have this mini office area and if I knew that I will stay up very late that nightΒ lols. The WiFi connection was really impressive too!Β
Β
Here’s the bathroom. It’s so clean and I love that it has plenty of extra towels and tissue papers. The hairdryer and vanity mirror are plus too! Most importantly, Cloud loves the bathtub so much!Β
There is a coffee area and at the bottom ofΒ it,Β there is a mini ref for food storage. The closet is right behind the door. Can you spot that steel handle? Glad there is also a safe where you can keep your valuable items when you need to go outside.Β
Β
They also provided this room mist ensuring their guests to have a good night sleep. And yes, we did have a good night sleep!

Our dinner. Four cheese pizza P630, Kai Tod Hat YaiΒ (crispy turmeric marinated chicken)Β P450 and Lechon Kawali P480. Sadly, the Lechon Kawali tastes pretty normal to me. Though I was surprised that Cloud loved the marinated chicken. And the pizza tastes good too. Tastes unique, in a good way.
Β

Room service was excellent, they were able to deliver our food in less than 15 minutes. Price range may soundΒ expensive but reasonable for a 5-star hotel.

Our overnight stay also includes a buffet breakfast for two at Seven Corners Restaurant located on the second floor of the hotel. I didn’t take photos of the place since it was jam-packed with guests. The buffet mostly consists of the usual breakfast staples such as scrambled egg, bacon, sausage and whatnots. There is also a bread and cereal section for those who preferred light breakfast meal. I capped off my sumptuous meal with fresh fruits. It was indeed a good breakfast despite a lack of sleep! *grin*
Β
All in all, it was a memorable staycation for the family. Until our next stay!Β
