L’oreal Paris True Match Liquid Foundation [Swatches + Review]

When I was still in makeup school, my instructor raved about the L’oreal Paris True Match Liquid Foundation as the best drugstore liquid foundation. So during the L’oreal summer sale last March, I was able to get two shades, F2 – Rose Porcelain and G2 – Gold Porcelain while the others were sold out.

Well, the rave is real.

They were sold for only 350php from its original price of 600php which is a steal. And even if I bought it from its original price, L’oreal Paris True Match Liquid Foundation is way cheaper from my usual Revlon and Covergirl liquid foundations.

This foundation has a pump which is very convenient. I prefer foundations with pumps ever since I started applying makeup to my clients. With a pump, the foundation can be out in a matter of seconds. While it takes a minute or two from a pump-less bottle especially when you are about to finish the whole bottle. You need to position it upside down or scrape the product out of the bottle using foundation or concealer brush which is time consuming and sometimes messy. With a pump bottle, you can also maintain your foundation clean and bacteria-free since you dispense the product you just need. I know for sure that my fellow makeup artists can relate to this lols.

Anyway, it is also in a glass packaging like any other foundation in the market.

Based on their website, L’oreal Paris True Match Liquid Foundation has been reformulated for a better color matching and more luminous and radiant skin than before. They also claim to be long wearing and has a better comfort. It has a creamy texture that smoothly glides onto your skin that gives a very natural finish.

When blended

For your reference, I find F2 Rose Porcelain matches between MAC NC15 to NC20 while G2 Golden Porcelain matches NC20 to NC25.

If you look closely, there is a light luminosity that creates a satin finish. It is very easy to blend no matter what you use (brush, sponge or your fingers) and very light on the skin as if you aren’t wearing any makeup. It is also unscented and not sticky at all. However, it only has light to medium coverage so if you have troubled skin, better use a concealer for additional coverage. But for someone who has clear skin to start with, I highly suggest this foundation.

This is the foundation I used during my bridal shoot a few months ago. I love how L’oreal Paris True Match Liquid Foundation (in the shade G2) compliments very well to my models that create a flawlessly natural finish.

I also used the L’oreal Infallable Makeup Setting Spray to set the whole makeup.

After 5 hours of the outdoor photo shoot, I noticed that their skin still looks radiant which is really impressive. So I am guessing my models have normal skin.

I personally love this foundation as it gives me enough coverage for my everyday natural look.

I love to apply this using a sponge or with my fingers because it is super blendable and non-sticky. Longevity-wise, I started to oil up after 4 hours which is pretty normal as I have oily skin. I always make sure I have my Too Cool for School Dinoplatz Dear Brachiosaurus Blotting Paper and my current setting powder with me to give myself retouch on the go.

Overall, I give this liquid foundation a two thumbs up!

L’oreal counters are available in all leading department stores nationwide.

  1. I just got a new kikay kit from my husband's grandmother (supportive, lol). I will try this out when this set's over. I need great coverage since I'm still not over my postpartum breakout.

  2. Looks like a nice product, I don't know how to put make up so hanggang BB and CC cream lang ako besides sunblock. But I think I need to have one of this for special occasion.

  3. My spouse and I stumbled over here coming from a different website and thought I should check things out.
I like what I see so now i am following you. Look forward to looking over your web page again.
