Basic MakeUp Workshop by Julia Sayco

Hello dearies! Thank God it’s Friday and yehey for the weekend!

Anyway, I am super excited to share with you that I was invited to attend a basic makeup workshop by Ms. Julia Sayco last Sunday, February 21, 2016. She is a Marketing graduate but her passion and love for makeup led her way to attend at MakeUp Design Academy in Quezon City. Julia finished her makeup school last July 2015 and then started to accept weddings and makeup gigs as a professional makeup artist.

The workshop was held at Buenisimo by Cafe Ysabel, a cozy restaurant located at Tomas Morato, Quezon City. The place looks fancy yet very relaxing and perfect for special occasions. The place is also perfect for candle-lit dinner because of its romantic vibe.

Julia’s makeup essentials consists of drugstore and high-end brand products.

Before the workshop, we were asked to bring our own makeup essentials to be used. This is to help us familiarize our own makeup products so I tagged along my trusted go-to babies!

My makeup essentials!

We’ve brought our own makeup, but that did not stop Julia to give away free brush set and Canmake samples! Thank you Canmake Philippines for sponsoring this workshop!

Julia discussed everything that every attendees should know, from the purpose of makeup to basic skincare routine. On a bit technical side, she also discussed the shelf life of each makeup products, different kind of makeup brushes, their uses and how to sanitize them. The way she tackled everything, you wouldn’t thought she just started her makeup career last year. That’s how good she is!

Right after the discussion, we headed on to the application where we have to create our own daytime and evening look. Julia made sure that everyone was doing their makeup right by checking her attendees one by one. She also answered questions and shared her tips to make the makeup application easy and precised. Aside from that, she also let us use her tools and makeup products during the entire workshop and I super love her Kryolan finishing powder!

And here’s my look! Tadaaaan!

The workshop became more fun and enjoyable because of the good food served by Buenisimo by Cafe Ysabel.  I swear, they all tastes good! And I look forward to try their best-seller dishes with hubby in the future, on our next dinner date perhaps? πŸ™‚

Aside from that, I met new blogger friends; Nizza and Marice who loves makeup as much as I do!

I am not really fond of using cosmetic products because for one, I don't know how to use them, and two, I don't spend too much time getting ready for work or something. πŸ˜€ Perhaps I should change perspective, because I know how make-up can make women feel beautiful and good about themselves.
