Mommyhood: Fun Way of Learning with Lift & Learn – Color and Shapes

Thank God for its Friday!

How’s your first week of the year so far? Me, I am busy with the upcoming Cloud’s first birthday and we are finishing some DIYs and the distribution of invitations. Will share the DIYs soon once we finished them all. Hubby and I are more excited to celebrate than the birthday celebrant himself. I bet all first-time parents all do! Right? 🙂

Anyway, in today’s post, I am sharing you this educational yet fun activity that will surely your little one would love. I am not so sure if this is a “new” thing but recently I am seeing quite a bunch of kid’s activities with wooden blocks in toy stores and on Instagram.

Luckily, one of Cloud’s godfather gave this Lift & Learn from The Learning Journey International as a Christmas present.

LIFT & LEARN – COLORS AND SHAPES
16 piece puzzle featuring color and shapes

– High quality 16 pieces educational puzzle
– Features full-color illustration displaying colors and shapes with pictures and answers under pieces
– Each piece is raised for easier grasping
– Penmanship lines are drawn to help introduce children to spelling colors and shapes

Educational Benefits
Creativity
Tactile – Motor
Thinking – Learning

I love that this can be played as early as 8 months without worrying about choking hazards because they came in big pieces. They are also made lightweight, smooth and with round edges which won’t hurt your babies. Moreover, I think it is water resistant, sturdy and could last long even your next child can use it.

Cons? Can’t think of any!

Where to buy? In all leading toy stores nationwide.
How much? 600php +

Mommies, are you into puzzles and wooden activities too?
What can you recommend for Cloud (1-year-old)?
Would love to hear it from you. 🙂

Thanks for dropping by!

  1. Wooden puzzles are an excellent way to learn. There are so many out there but there was one we got at National Bookstore that taught about animals.

  2. My first born got multi color building blocks and they are still very visible in the small house. I am waiting for my five-month old boy to grow up and play with them as well. Yours is something I would love to buy for my boy as well.

  3. Great toy you got there. I would recommend wooden blocks too. A relative of mine gave my son a Mula wooden bead roller coaster from Ikea for his first birthday. It is a great toy for hand-eye coordination exercises as well as for fine motor skills honing. I saw a local version of it in Toy Kingdom, I think. 🙂

  5. I love having wooden educational toys… We bought some for our son, 6 years later, his little sister's the one using it now. It's actually a good buy, worth the money!

  6. I don't have kids but whenever I am buying gifts for kids I see to it that the parts are big enough to avoid any accident :-). The Lift & Learn seems good because it's colorful and educational. Will check that the next time i have to buy a gift for my niece.

  7. This is a great toy! Sayang my kids are in their toddler stage na. I will surely get one for them if ever 🙂 I recommend Leapfrog toys for your one year old 🙂
