BYS Contour Trio in Sweet Review

Welcome to another blush review dearies! And for today, its the BYS Contour Trio! It was named “trio” because it has a blush on, highlighter and bronzing powder in one palette. It is everything you need to add a pop of color on your face. BYS Contour Trio was included on my first Glamourbox BYS Edition (link to my unboxing HERE) few months back and you can also check them out in all Watsons and SM Department Stores nationwide. This retails at 449php/8g.

And did you know that this won Cosmopolitan Magazine‘s 2015 Beauty Award? *applaud*

BYS Contour Trio is very handy due to its sleek design. It has a clear cover so you can see the shades without the need to open it. Downside is, it has no built-in mirror and applicator which makes the application quite difficult because you need to hold a separate mirror and the palette at the same time. I usually do my make up inside a moving car so imagine the extra effort needed while using a mirrorless palette.

I love how informative the back portion of this palette. It shows the right location (on the face) for each palette which is perfect for beginners like me. Its like a mini tutorial! Aside from that, it also indicates the ingredients, manufacturer, product bar code and lifespan which is 12 months after opening.

I love the shades especially the blush on because that’s my kind of shade. Warm peachy pink kind of shade to be exact. I do not use highlighter and bronzer for now so let us focus on the blush itself. However, I must admit that the 3 shades are all gorgeous and perfect for everyday use. I’m looking forward to use all of them someday.

Swatches
The blush has a bit shimmers on it while the highlighter and contour powder are both matte. I read somewhere that the blush has somehow dupe of Nars Orgasm. I love the fact that its very pigmented thus a little product goes a long way and for sure it will take time to hit the pan.
Excuse those bumps heheh
The blush is easy to apply and blendable. It took me only few minutes to achieved the desired look which I love. However, the powder is chalky which I’m not surprised because I have the same impression with the other BYS products like their brow powder and eyeshadow palette that I have tried.

It stayed intact the whole day (without the retouch) given that I have oily skin. I applied the highlighter but it doesn’t seem any difference with or without it. I guess I have to learn the proper way to apply highlighter. πŸ™‚
Pros:
1. Very handy
2. 3 uses in one palette
3. Affordable
4. Pigmented
5. Blendable
6. Long lasting
Cons:
1. No built-in mirror and applicator
2. Chalky
I’ve been using this for a month now and a staple on my make up kit. The shade looks natural on me! This is also a great start for someone with a budget who would love to try blush, highlighter and bronzer in one palette.
