Wet n Wild Color Icon Blusher in Berry Shimmer Review

I never thought blushes could this be so much addicting!

My blush collection is growing from my Milani Baked Blushes in Luminoso and Rose D’Oro and now, the Wet n Wild Color Icon Blusher in Berry Shimmer which I purchased from Luxola at 177.50php (my shopping experience here).Β

I opted to buy a tad bit darker so I could practice my blending skills and to add just a little bit more color on my skin.

Berry shimmer is a warm pink shade with red undertone with gold shimmers in it. I was amazed how opaque it was the first time I swatched it, worrying if I could pull this off with my not-so good blending skills. This comes with a brush applicator but I prefer to use my Marionnaud N32 Blush brush when applying it.

This blush is so pigmented yet giving you soft and smooth finish that even darker skin toned can use it too! However, since it very pigmented, you have to be careful dubbing your brush as it can pick up a lot of product and small amount goes a long way. I tell you.

My blending skills was tested the first time I used it as I applied too much product on my face hehehe. What I did was to blend, blend, blend, add a little foundation to tone it down and voala! I love how this brings me glow in the face.Β

Left side. This is me in the morning. The shade is just a subtle pop of color but its a bit stronger in actual. The lighting perhaps?

Right side. This is me at 4pm. Please note I have super oily skin and my blush is still intact despite of oiliness going on my face. I just finished blotting when I take that photo. The photo above attests that this blush stays all day! I super love it!

As I have mentioned, morenas can rock with Berry Shimmer too! Meet Cris, my model of the day hehehe.Β

Pros:
1. Cheap price
2. Comes with a brush applicator
3. Very pigmented so a little amount of product goes a long way
3. It stays all day!
4. Gives you glowy effectΒ
5. Available online (Luxola, Instagram, FB) and in local stores (Watsons, SM, Landmark)

Cons:
1. Does not come with a mirror
2. It takes time for me to blend since its too pigmented

Knowing its cheap price and quality, this will not hurt my budget if I collect all shades from this line *calling hubby hehehe*. This is also perfect gift for your girlfriends who also loves make up this coming Christmas season.

I bet you already have this blush from Wet n Wild, so what’s your favorite shade? πŸ™‚

Thank you for reading!Β

Much Love,

Mommy Mhaan

  1. I think Wet & Wild is a good brand, considering it's more affordable than usual. I agree with you, though, a mirror would really help a lot, but it's probably why the cost is less.

  2. I like shades like this as it's not too loud, just the right tone lang. πŸ™‚ I personally use Mary Kay's mineral cheek color in strawberry cream with a pretty similar glowy effect. πŸ™‚
